Dear Parents,
It is cold and flu season--to help prevent spread of the cold and flu, if your child is sick and running a fever, please keep them at home.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention Fact Sheet states:
1. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. When you are sick, keep your distance from others to protect them from getting sick.
2. Stay home when you are sick.
3. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing and sneezing. If you do not have a tissue, cough in your upper sleeve, not your hands.
4. Wash your hands often. This will help protect you from the spread of germs. Wash for 20 seconds with soap and water. If you do not have soap and water, use gel sanitizer or alcohol based wipes.
5. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth and other persons eyes, nose and mouth.
6. Practice good health habits. Get plenty of sleep. Drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious foods.
7. Clean surfaces such as tables, doorknobs, and surfaces that are touched often.
